hello blog readers,
i have gotten requests for a picture of me. this was taken last week:
dexter really wanted in on that pic.
oh! i finished the dresser also:
complete with cute little ceramic knobs! here's a close-up of those pictures on the dresser:
baby jamie and baby kristen!! at about the same age...6-8 months. i have way more hair than you jamie. i actually came out with a full head of black hair, so much that when the nurses at the hospital cleaned me up and brought me to my mother and father, they had made a little ponytail on the top of my head. jamie's openly hoping and praying for a blond child...but don't forget we also have redheads on both sides of the family! and it just so happens that two of my favorite children are redheads: little betty eckles who is almost three, and maddie who i used to coach at squaw...i think she's almost 12 now!!! what do you think baby lavalle is going to look like? and born with a full head of hair or bald as can be?? i heard that if you have heartburn your baby has a lot of hair...i have NO heartburn...hmmm...
baby's current favorite position is shoulders sticking out on my right side right above my hip and feet kicking out on my left side right below my ribs (she's head down)...does that make sense? she frequently stretches out. she seems LARGE. but doc assures me she is on track to be about 7 1/2 lbs by birth.
we finished our birthing class...it was awesome. it focused a lot on jamie's role during labor and birth, and although i saw the color drain out of his face more than once, and we giggled like 7th graders while practicing pushing positions on the mats (great night to wear a skirt, kristen), i think he's feeling much more confident. and maybe even excited....?
i will leave you with a little picture of fluffy cuteness:
baby socks!!!!!!
xoxo
kristen
Kristen, I had no heartburn, and you came out with a ton of hair, so....adding more to the mystery! Can't wait to meet her!
ReplyDeleteI belched for what seemed like 2 years...and produced two baldies. Who knows? I do know that the baby will be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI'm sending mad thoughtwaves into your belly to make that baby have red hair! But if she does, she'll probably be pretty much bald until age 6, just like me.
ReplyDeleteLookin' good, mama!
