where has mommy been??
wow, i am the worst blogger ever.
as you can see, when i was pregnant i apparently had a ton of time on my hands. now....not so much. i started this blog as a way to keep in touch with friends and family, and let them know what was going on with baby. so to you all i apologize!
i found that the easiest way to communicate is to take pictures with my phone, and with one click i can upload them to my facebook page. unfortunatley, this system leaves out a couple key family members, who don't have facebook accounts!
when i take videos i am going to post them here for sure. as things get easier, hopefully i will be able to show my face here a little more. i promise!!!
as far as quinn is concerned, the girl is downright amazing. gorgeous, happy, smiling, sleeping through the night...how did a mother get so lucky??? best. baby. ever. i can't wait for those of you that haven't met her yet to get your hands on her. she's the best. and growing so fast! more smiles everyday. LOVES smiling for her daddy! still trying to get a smile caught on camera...

merry christmas :)
ok this is a post to tell y'all that i am totally planning a legitimate post as soon as life gives me the opportunity, haha. but here are the basics:
quinn louisa lavalle was born wednesday, dec. 22nd at 5:28pm. i was supposed to call my doctor that morning as i was 42 weeks to the day, and my doctor wanted to induce me. so i ate a buffalo chicken sando the night before and BAM woke up at 4am with contractions, and ultimately got the (crazy, intense) birth i had hoped for my little girl. yay!
she is healthy, gorgeous, and we're all so happy. thanks everyone for all the love.

nursery
a lot of people have asked to see the nursery. i just went in there and took a bunch of pics, sorry they're not the best quality.
thank you jake the snake and cheche...our kid will hopefully never be afraid of snakes because of this...or maybe she'll be TERRIFIED of snakes, guess we'll find out:
i painted this the other day, besides that owl on the right pissing me off everytime i look at it, i am pretty happy with how it turned out:

and here's a pic of dad and dex in the doghouse that dad built for him, which dex hates...this was probably the only time he's been in it. note the fear in his eyes:
i'm glad to have the nursery done, finally. it took forever, and was really fun. i hope she likes it. i REALLY didn't want a theme...just neutral with bright colors, but a lot of purple found it's way in, as well as a lot of owls. i'm into the owls...
well no worries kids i'm just ELEVEN days overdue, but who's counting, right? i've had two NST's (non-stress tests), where they monitor the baby's heartrate, and make sure she's still happy in there. oh, she's happy in there alright. i feel zero signs of labor and am beginning to doubt it is going to happen at all. i have another one on tuesday, and i'm sure they're going to try to talk me into an induction then if nothing's happened. which i am not into since baby looks "amazing" according to them, but we'll see. i never thought that i would still be pregnant a couple days before christmas...jamie and i were laughing so hard the other day when we realized that it's very possible we will have a christmas baby!! insanity.
we also just wanted to thank everyone for all their support this week! (and last week too)...thanks so much for all the well-wishes and love, this little girl is going to have tons of love coming her way, and it's just the best feeling in the world. :)

6 days and counting...
6 days past my due date.
everything's going good, i'm just trying to keep myself distracted and busy. had a good doc appointment this morning, things are progressing, and since i am 41 weeks i start non-stress tests tomorrow. they'll monitor the baby's heart rate for a half hour and make sure everything's solid.
hope i have her soon, just trying to enjoy these last few days where it's just two of us and two crazy dogs!
oh and ps, i'm huge:
